(Kingston, JA/Brooklyn, NY – 25, April 2006) Gargamel Music, Inc. is happy to announce that Dancehall-Reggae icon Buju Banton will be prominently featured in BBC 1Xtra’s historical Dancehall After Dark series airing all this week on the distinguished UK radio channel.
In the candid two hour-long interview which airs tonight, Tuesday 25, April 2006 at 10pm (UK time), Banton aka the Gargamel chats with Robbo Ranx about his early life growing up in Kingston, his first foray into the dancehall, the current dancehall scene, his overall contributions to Reggae music, and of course, the of litany of manufactured controversies that have plagued his career since the release of “Boom Bye Bye” more than 15 years ago.

He has just put the finishing touches on his first pure Dancehall album in over a decade, currently scheduled for release this summer on his own Gargamel Music label. |
